San Ramon Cricket Association

The San Ramon Cricket Association (SRCA) was founded in 2008. Before the association was formed there were several groups playing unorganized cricket. Members from these groups joined together to formalize their activities. SRCA was formed to provide organized cricket for the residents of San Ramon and its neighboring cities.

During first few years SRCA organized cricket tournaments for the adults. These tournaments ranged from league to knockout, 11 a side to 6 as side and from 20-20 to 6 over. With fast growing membership SRCA now provides full time recreation to over 20 adult teams, all round the year. In early 2010 members of SRCA wanted to spread the culture of cricket to the youth of San Ramon. After organizing several youth cricketing camps, a SRCA youth division was started. SRCA youth runs a year round cricket academy which provides coaching and games for the youth.

SRCA is co-sponsored by City of San Ramon. The youth academy and the games are organized in the dedicated cricket grounds at San Ramon. SRCA is a member of Tennis Ball Cricket Association (TCA). SRCA is closely associated with Cricket for Cubs (CFC) which promotes cricket in the East Bay schools.

SRCA is a non-profit organization that provides services to the community by the community. It has conducted several charity events ranging from cricket tournaments to social/cultural events.
